Before I get started, check out my new website header created by VINCE over at dURDy WorK Multi-Media Graphics. I have some other work I may hire him for again closer to the end of the year, and I refuse to say what it is, but it’s going to be big.
So much has happened since my script was in the E.R. I made the necessary changes, but I knew it still wasn’t ready. I appreciate Ms. Pembroke for pointing out a few problems, but I decided to post an ad on Freelanced.com with hopes of finding someone who would take a little more time with me because I need it, and within twenty-four hours I received over thirty proposals. Some were novelist, but had never worked in screenwriting, and some were just way out of my price range.
I had it narrowed down to about four people because of price and credentials, but two of them ignored me when I asked for a screenplay writing sample because I supplied mine so they knew what they were getting themselves into. Out of the remaining two, I chose JULIE PAUPE from the UK. I knew I wanted a woman if possible, and I wanted someone from the US because I was certain we would have some sort of verbiage barrier and we are to a certain extent. However, as I told Julie, communication is the key.
I sent her the information, and within a couple of hours, she was already on the job keeping me informed. I can honestly say she knows what she is doing. She’s coming off as a mentor as well which is something I need. We’ll see where this relationship takes me. Sometimes I get overly excited before its time, and end up being disappointed, but we shall see.
Hopefully, one day my posts will receive some feedback.
