Hello Ms. Tracey Edmonds

January 7, 2017

a-new-designHello Ms. Tracey Edmonds

I know this stunt has come off as amateuristic, but here I am. I’m Dawn and I am a Screenwriting 911 Operator, and I’m praying to the highest power you’re reading this post, and that you’re in the process of reading the first ten pages of, Sometimes Love – (romantic drama) “Johan Nobles, a once academically gifted young man, is intent on getting his life back on track, when he falls in love with Symphony Hayes; she saves him after a near-fatal car crash. What he doesn’t know about Symphony is that she harbors secrets that may destroy everything, including their relationship..”

The only thing I wish is for you to take ten to fifteen minutes out of your hectic schedule and read the first ten pages, and if you like what you’re reading, my agent or I can email you a copy of the 105 page script ASAP along with the necessary paperwork signed.

I hope you’re able to visualize every ounce of emotion I put into this script; it’s my first born, and it’s ready for a Producer.

First 10 Pages.

I Have An Agent

September 15, 2016

i-have-an-agentThat’s what I said.  I obtained an agent about a week ago, and I couldn’t be happier.  I can finally see my art coming to life.

Thank You so much, Duane. Even though I sent you the wrong draft, you still saw the beauty.

Poster_queryABSOLUTELY NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!!!

What I wish to do is take one of my full length films and condense it down into a short film so I can produce the film to enter into film competitions.

When I first tried to raise the funds, the amount was way too high; however, my second crowdfunding campaign still did not receive donations.

What I need is roughly $7,500 to get this film produced.  What I can offer in return is major advertisement, and WHEN I sell the full length version of the film titled, “Sometimes Love” I will in return give you 5% of what it sells for.  So, even if it sells for 1 million, you Continue Reading…

scI’m outlining another masterpiece that I suppose to finish by the end of March, but basically just starting.  It’s another story that has been singing in my head for close to a year, and it’s time to get serious.   I am a big time procrastinator but once I start…

It’s another high-concept comedy, and absolutely no hints will be given.  All I can say, it’ll probably be controversial.  I’m still waiting to receive my latest script, “All Circuits Busy”, so Continue Reading…

Film_ProductionWOW, is all I can say. No, it isn’t. I posted on Stage32.com’s forum a few days ago, searching for someone to analyze my five (5)-page screenplay short, “Love Appeal”. An experienced Horror Director/Writer (Shane W.) offered to analyze it free of charge.

This is what he had to say, “Hi Dawn, Read through the screenplay. It’s a pretty unique story, not something done to my knowledge, and the quasi-silent film feel is an interesting touch. It has a nice feel to it, and it’s a good story.”

He gave me a couple of recommendations on how Continue Reading…

Still Not There Yet

May 9, 2014

dont-you-dare-give-upWOW, it has been a long time since I’ve made a post.  As you read from the title, I have yet to make it as a Screenwriter.  Have I felt like throwing my hands up like I normally do and say F*ck it, yes, several times.

I’ve sent out close to  one-hundred and fifty query letters in reference to my screenplay “Sometimes Love’, and received one response.  He requested my synopsis, and advised me the story wouldn’t work for a Producer/Director he had in mind, so in my opinion, it wasn’t all bad.

I’ve decided to move on to another screenplay Continue Reading…

New Screenplay in the Works

February 13, 2014

screenplay-235x230It’s been a while since I’ve made a post.  Still nothing from either two of my celebrities I attempted to stalk, but it’s all good.  They have people I need to go through, and I somewhat understand that.

So far, I’ve emailed out about fifty query letters in search of representation from either an agent or manager.  I did hear from a few people directing me to their website to fill out a survey of some sort, and I heard from someone who requested a synopsis of my script.  I sent it to him, and he responded hours later and said, “Thank you for the synopsis but this won’t work for the producer I had in mind”.  I thanked him for his time, and advised him if he changes his mind, I’m still in need of an agent.  It has only been about a week since I emailed the letters, so I’m patient, and I’m going to email a bit more this weekend. Continue Reading…
