This Screenplay Continues to Kick My A$$

kick-buttI just received my Rewrite Analysis from Lynne Pembroke over at Coverscript, and boy is it overwhelming.  I appreciate all the insightful information, and realize I do need to rewrite my script once again.  I am sure I will be able to salvage over half of the script, but I will trim, add, delete, rearrange, etc…  Seems like a lot to do.

Will I reach my goal of having it complete before 2014?  I have BIG plans scheduled for Monday, January 6, 2014, and I need my script to receive a Recommend and or Consider.  Read more


My Script is in the ER

scriptdoctorWell, it is official now.  I’ve chosen the person to help me get my screenplay ready for market.  Ms. Lynne Pembroke over at Coverscript is whom I will be working with, and if all goes well, she will be my go to person for future scripts.

2013, Still Not Quite My Year

disappointment3This year is almost two-thirds over, and I still have yet to make my mark. I’ve had my fair share of rejections this year, but I remain strong. I’ve entered a total of seven…. You heard me, 7 screenplay competitions this year, and nothing. I advanced to the quarterfinals with Scriptapalooza, but in all honesty, that’s no big deal.

What’s Going On

WOW, although I am still an Aspiring Screenwriter waiting for my big break, I like to think I have grown as a writer.  Here, I thought I was about seventy-five to eighty percent finished with my second screenplay “Torn”, after re-reading it for the first time in over a year, I realized WTH.  I am about forty-five to fifty percent finished.  I still feel it is a great story with a great plot and premise, but dayum is it awful.  It needs a major re-write, and I am excited to do so.
