I Have Tapped Out

dont give upSo after three days of stalking Common and Tika Sumpter, I finally tapped out.  I’m still not giving up, but I’ve decided to concentrate on searching for me a reputable agent, and continue with trying to finish my second screenplay, “TORN”.  I’m just as excited about this one as I am, “SOMETIMES LOVE”.  I already have a general idea who I would like to play in this one too.

No, I have not given up with pursuing Common and Tika, but I have to do it the right way.  As I said before, I cannot picture anyone else playing these roles for Sometimes Love, except Common and Tika, and I have not really thought about the worst-case scenario.  However, I’m moving my focus to obtaining representation.   Wish me luck!

COMMON & TIKA ALL I ASK OF YOU IS TO READ THE FIRST 10-15 PAGES

First, I would like to thank Vince, owner of dURDy Work Multi-Media Graphics for designing my movie poster, he did one hell of a job, and I am so glad I stumbled upon him.  He also designed my website header, so be sure to check him out; magnificent work and reasonable prices.

Second, I want to thank my cousin Sherry, owner of Sherry Designs for creating the trailer for me as well.  She did an excellent job with putting it all together… so THANKS FOR BOTH OF YOU!

If you’re visiting this page, then I hope you are as excited as I am, and you’ve contributed with PERSUADING these two celebrities.  I’ve been working on this script since 2010, and I’ve always envisioned the two of them steaming up the silver screen; two beautiful people.

I took this route because I did not Continue Reading →

This Screenplay Continues to Kick My A$$

kick-buttI just received my Rewrite Analysis from Lynne Pembroke over at Coverscript, and boy is it overwhelming.  I appreciate all the insightful information, and realize I do need to rewrite my script once again.  I am sure I will be able to salvage over half of the script, but I will trim, add, delete, rearrange, etc…  Seems like a lot to do.

Will I reach my goal of having it complete before 2014?  I have BIG plans scheduled for Monday, January 6, 2014, and I need my script to receive a Recommend and or Consider.  Continue Reading →

My Script is in the ER

scriptdoctorWell, it is official now.  I’ve chosen the person to help me get my screenplay ready for market.  Ms. Lynne Pembroke over at Coverscript is whom I will be working with, and if all goes well, she will be my go to person for future scripts.
I had it narrowed down to two, and the other people I felt wanted to turn my script into something stereotypical, and I told them I vow to stay away from that.  I chose Ms. PembrokeContinue Reading →

2013, Still Not Quite My Year

disappointment3This year is almost two-thirds over, and I still have yet to make my mark. I’ve had my fair share of rejections this year, but I remain strong. I’ve entered a total of seven…. You heard me, 7 screenplay competitions this year, and nothing. I advanced to the quarterfinals with Scriptapalooza, but in all honesty, that’s no big deal.

That thing I mentioned in a previous post I was working on, it fell through as well. I made a bold move and contacted this Director, and he responded. We exchanged a few emails, and I was advised to Continue Reading →

What’s Going On

WOW, although I am still an Aspiring Screenwriter waiting for my big break, I like to think I have grown as a writer.  Here, I thought I was about seventy-five to eighty percent finished with my second screenplay “Torn”, after re-reading it for the first time in over a year, I realized WTH.  I am about forty-five to fifty percent finished.  I still feel it is a great story with a great plot and premise, but dayum is it awful.  It needs a major re-write, and I am excited to do so.Continue Reading →
